This is how I play Villainous as a one player game on twitch. This applies to both Disney and Marvel Villainous

Custom one player rules for stream
(if you’re unfamiliar with the basic mechanics of villainous, scroll passed my custom rules for a breakdown)

1. I have 25 turns to complete my objective.

2. Fate actions on my board are replaced with 1 power token since I have no one to fate.

3. Viewers can cheer bits to slow me down:

   • 100 bits = Fate me

   • 200 bits = discard 1 random card from my hand

   • 800 bits = discard my entire hand

Basic mechanics of the game

1. Villainous is typically a 2-6 player game in which you play a Villain who is trying to complete their objective before the other villains.

2. Each villain has their own realm (game board), their own objective, and their own unique deck of cards.

3. The realm has 4 locations, and each location has a set of available actions that can be performed on that turn.

   • Play a card, discard cards from hand, collect power, vanquish (use allies to defeat heroes), fate, activate certain cards, move a card, etc.

4. There are two different decks of cards

   • Player deck containing allies, items, effects, and conditions that help you complete your objective.

   • Fate deck containing heroes, items, and effects that slow you down.

     • this deck is used when another player takes the fate action against you.
